The Texas Sound Behind Our House-Made Salsas
The Texas Sound Behind Our House-Made Salsas
Every salsa at Two Step Taqueria is made in-house and named for a Texas music legend: Don Henley, George Strait, Kacey Musgraves, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Willie Nelson. Together, they celebrate the music and flavors of Texas, each with its own ingredients, character and level of heat.

Pico de Henley
Our take on pico de gallo combines tomato, jalapeño, onion, cilantro and lime for a bright, fresh finish.
Named for Don Henley, the Linden, Texas-born musician and founding member of the Eagles, Pico de Henley is familiar, polished and always in tune. It is the easygoing choice that works with nearly everything on the menu.
Strait Fresca
Tomato, serrano, onion, cilantro and garlic come together in Strait Fresca, our smooth, fresh salsa with just enough serrano heat to keep things interesting.
Named for George Strait, the King of Country and a South Texas original, Strait Fresca is bright, classic and balanced, with enough serrano heat to keep it interesting.
Smokey Musgraves
Smokey Musgraves brings together chipotle in adobo, roasted tomato, shallots and garlic for a deeper, richer salsa with a warm, smoky finish.
Named for Golden, Texas native Kacey Musgraves, it balances tradition with something a little unexpected. Try it when you want a salsa that adds depth without overpowering everything else on the plate.
Vaughan's Verde
Roasted Hatch chile, tomatillo, shallots and garlic give Vaughan's Verde its tangy flavor, roasted character and medium heat.
The name nods to Austin guitar legend Stevie Ray Vaughan, whose unmistakable sound remains woven into the fabric of Texas music. This salsa has a little more edge, making it an especially good match for steak, barbacoa and anything that can handle an extra kick.
Willie's Tears
Our hottest salsa is made with red habanero, peach, shallots and garlic. Peach rounds out the red habanero, but Willie's Tears is still the hottest salsa on the menu.
Named for Willie Nelson, one of Texas music's most enduring icons, it is bold, memorable and not particularly interested in following the rules. Add it carefully, or go all in. We will leave that decision between you and Willie.
